A central meeting place to a cool family of 5, this remodeled kitchen in the city creates an inviting and open space using a mix of modern and traditional finishes, while keeping intuitive functionality at the forefront. An east-facing room, adding skylights above the island allows for more light to fill the kitchen throughout the day. Two oversized, bronze patina pendants bring charm and character to the clean lines of the two-toned cabinetry. Rubbed bronze hardware and caramel toned accents compliment the cool blue lower cabinetry, white uppers, and white glazed subway tile backsplash. Keeping modern/traditional in mind, we introduced organic accents to juxtapose the rooms geometry. Behind a pocket door, a pantry keeps staples and snacks tucked away and the intentional open space along the dark stained built-in’s allow the family to integrate the outdoor space with ease.
